Choral Services At the Chapel

Choral Solemn Eucharist (THe University Service)

Thursdays, 5:00 pm (preceded by Evening Prayer at 4:45)

This is the main service of the week – the “University Service” for all students and faculty on campus and university community. In the collegiate chapel tradition, the style of worship is peculiar to the college setting: richly poetic, liturgical, and countercultural. The Chapel Choir sings some of the best-loved liturgical music from the Renaissance to the present. We gather afterwards in the Senior Common Room for conversation and refreshments.

Choral Evensong

Wednesdays, 5:00 pm

Choral Evensong is an hour-long service of Evening Prayer, sung to some of the best-loved choral sacred music from the Renaissance to the present day. The service is centred around the recitation of psalms to choral Anglican Chant, two readings of Scripture, and a choral anthem. The beauty of the choir surrounds the reading of the inspired text in a way that has spoken to the longing of the human heart for five centuries.
