University Service (William Tyndale)

5:00 pm

Preacher: Dr. Dan Driver (Associate Professor, Atlantic School of Theology)
Featured Music: Palestrina’s Missa Aeterna Christi Munera and Justorum Animae by Stanford

This is the main service of the week - "the University Service"  or "College Communion" for all students on campus. In the university chapel tradition, the style of corporate worship is peculiar to the college setting: richly poetic, liturgical, challenging, and countercultural. It is unlike conventional Christian worship outside the university.  The Chapel Choir sings some of the best-loved liturgical music from the Renaissance to the present, and a college-style sermon is preached.  This is the main weekly liturgical gathering of our College in a collegial contemplation. We gather afterwards in the Senior Common Room for conversation and refreshments.
